Love you guys, thank you all SO much for you kind words!
Rapunzel poked her head around at Eugene. “No peaking,” She said as her hand tightened around his. “Here, let me help you so you don’t fall out of the boat.” She giggled, making sure he wasn’t peaking. Technically, it should have been a surprise for the both of them, the location of their honeymoon. But, she wanted it to be a surprise for Eugene, and since he’d surprised her plenty with his gifts, she gave him something in return.
Once he was out of the boat, she grinned and pulled him up the shore, leading him a bit forward, then made him stop in front of the small house they would share for their time on this island. She giggled, practically jumping. She’d only borrowed the island, it was owned by Ruthbard, a neighboring Kingdom that Corona was at peace with. Since her parents had helped them with a war, something about surfs, they wanted to utilize every chance they could to repay Corona, and if that meant loaning an island to the Lost Princess and her husband, then that’s what they would do. They’d been so gracious to rent out the unused land, and Corona’s architects had built Rapunzel and Eugene a small house, nothing fancy but well build to withstand weather, just for extra measures. And it was perfect, small but big enough and brown and sturdy, right in the middle of a meadow.
Rapunzel looked up at Eugene squeezing his free hand, for his other one was over his eyes. She grinned again. “Okay! You can open your eyes!”
Despite him asking where they were going Rapunzel insisted that it was a surprise and that he had to close his eyes. He wanted to peek, just get a glimpse of where they were but he just couldn’t deny Rapunzel the surprise that she wanted him to have. He had been all around Corona and the neighbouring kingdoms. Maybe he could figure out where they were despite having his eyes covered, though he has no such luck. It didn’t matter where this mystery location was though. If they were only staying in an old beat up barn in Corona then he would be ecstatic because it would mean they’ be spending every moment together. “You better not lead me into a tree or something” he laughs as Rapunzel pulls him forward
When instructed he uncovers his eyes and opens them, taking in the surroundings. The little house was perfect, so cozy looking. It wasn’t the castle they were used to living in but it was small and intimate and looked like a great little hideaway for them. “Rapunzel, you did it, you actually got us an island for our honeymoon. I can’t believe this. It’s perfect” he kisses her cheek, “How did you manage this?”
“Well, I am a princess, Eugene.” Rapunzel grinned, swinging his hand in hers. “I haven’t actually been inside yet- I didn’t even think it’d be so perfect! All mother told me was, ‘So I got Eugene that island’. And I was totally sold!”
She skipped ahead, dragging him along. “Oh but it’s perfect, isn’t it? And there are clothes and other things inside too! I’m so excited to see the inside!” She grinned, going with him up the hill and into the house, where the furniture was all very nice- ‘perfect for two’ furniture, her Mother would call it. “Oh Eugene look! There’s even a kitchen!” Of course there was, but Rapunzel wasn’t really thinking ahead as to how they would cook their food. Of course they would need a kitchen. Everything was perfect, kitchen included.
“I love it!”

“I like his wife. She’s spunky.”
*nodnod*
She’s funny! I like her, but she’s kind of loud…and greedy.
Same, Punz.
God that note gets me every time. *fanning self*
*hands both popcorn*
What part are you at now?
